Yameen runs on people who show up. Every gathering happens because someone came early, carried chairs, made a run for food, or stayed late to clean up. There's no application to fill out — just people who decided to help.
We're still growing, so roles are flexible and shift with what's on the calendar. Here's what usually needs people:
Help host halaqahs and socials — greeting first-timers, keeping conversation moving, making sure nobody stands alone in a corner.
Setup, check-in, food runs, teardown. The unglamorous work that makes a gathering feel put together. Come 30 minutes early, stay 30 minutes late.
Food drives, clothing collections, neighborhood cleanups, masjid support. Usually Saturday mornings, usually a few hours, always family-friendly.
Getting involved is one email away. Send us a note with what you'd enjoy doing — setup, service projects, hosting, or whatever sounds like you — and we'll match you to what's coming up next.
Someone from the team writes back personally, usually within a few days. No commitment beyond one yes.
